doug stockman joins helix
One of Kansas City's most influential leaders in architecture surprised many when he left el dorado, where he was a founding principal, several months ago. At the time of his departure he left many wondering where he might land next. Today Helix has issued the press release below detailing the addition of Stockman as a Principal. Stockman told the Kansas City Business Journal 'I really saw them (Helix) as probably the most exciting place to come work, not just because I knew people here, but also because of the kind of work they were doing and what they're seeking to do in the future' Helix has added several key staff members over the last few years in addition to Stockman. Alissa Wehmueller joined Helix in 2014 as a Principal / Director of Interiors along with Erika Moody, Evan Fox and Trevor Hoiland joining the firm as principals after a merger with their former practice, Blackbird Design Studio, in 2016.
The MidCoast gang is happy to see Doug keeping his architectural talents and active engagement in the community here in Kansas City, and look forward to seeing the impact he and Helix have in the design community over the next several years.
Congratulations Doug and the entire Helix team!
